It’s been a busy year with my paid work and other writing projects taking precedent after some competition success!
Needless to say while I may not have made as much progress on my current romance novel in the first half of the year as I would have liked. I did make great leaps and bounds in improving my craft (especially my drafting, plotting and editing skills – No AI involved!).
July/August are incredibly busy months on the writers front for me with events and activities galore! How much actual writing occurs – who knows? Coming up I have: Writing Workshops/Webinars, Writefest 2026, T L Swan @Enamoured Books, The RWNZ ‘Kiss & Tell’ Conference, Pitching Sessions and the Indie Writers Fest, along with my usual weekly writers groups.
Busy – yes. Overwhelmed? Possibly. Inspired? Definitely!!!
Despite everything, I am finding myself thoroughly enjoying this time as I’m getting stuck into two very different projects – both of which I am pitching to Publishers and Agents shortly!
